Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC has launched two new passive equity schemes—Aditya Birla Sun Life BSE Total Market Index Fund and Aditya Birla Sun Life BSE Total Market ETF—offering investors access to a broad universe of Indian listed stocks.
Both schemes track the BSE Total Market Total Return Index (TRI), which is designed to represent around 93% of India’s total full market capitalisation. The index includes companies across large-cap, mid-cap, small-cap and micro-cap segments, spanning 22 sectors.

The new fund offer (NFO) for both schemes opened on September 30 and will remain available until October 14, 2026. The minimum investment during the NFO is ₹500, with subsequent investments in multiples of ₹1.

The index fund will be available in direct and regular plans, with a growth option. The scheme has no exit load. The units of the ETF can be traded on a stock exchange after listing, similar to shares.

The BSE Total Market Index is drawn from the BSE AllCap universe and aims to cover 98% of its full market capitalisation, with a minimum of 1,000 constituents. As per the latest available index factsheet, the index had 1,004 constituents as of September 30, 2026. The index is reviewed semi-annually, in June and December. BSE Total Market TRI has given 13.05% returns over 10 years completed on September 30, 2026. It quoted at a price to earnings ratio of 22.94 and a dividend yield of 0.92%.

These schemes can work for those investors looking for simple investment solutions that offer to invest across sectors and themes.
